A Joyous Return: Celebrating Winnipeg Football History

Honoring a Legendary Legacy
As we stand on the precipice of a glorious occasion, the excitement in the air is palpable. On September 25, 2026, Winnipeg will embrace a significant moment in its sporting history. It is with great pride that I announce my return to Winnipeg, a city that has played a crucial role in my life and career as I celebrate alongside the esteemed teams of the 1988 and 1990 Grey Cup championships. Their induction into the Winnipeg Football Club Hall of Fame is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and the spirit of the game.
Football: More Than Just a Game
The beautiful game of football has been far more than a series of plays on the field—it has been a teacher, imparting vital lessons that extend well beyond the gridiron. Through each spirited competition, I have internalized values that have shaped my life: focus, perseverance, commitment, faith, and purpose. These attributes have not only guided my journey in sports but have also found their way into my writings, allowing me to share my experiences and insights with a wider audience.
A Day of Celebration and Connection
This special event will not just be a nostalgic celebration; it promises to be an enriching experience for all involved. Before the kickoff, fans and followers can find me at Alumni Alley, where I welcome everyone to join me for autographs. In the spirit of this celebration, I will also be happy to sign copies of my published works:
📘 The Football Poet: Poetry of a Life’s Journey
📙 Health, Wealth and Stealth: A Devotional Poetry Collection
These books encapsulate my journey and the wisdom I have gathered over the years. Copies can be purchased on Amazon.ca, and I encourage you to bring your books to the game for a signature. Furthermore, a portion of the proceeds from these books will be directed to the Winnipeg Blue Bomber alumni, benefiting amateur football within the province.
As we gather to celebrate an unforgettable part of Winnipeg's football history, I eagerly look forward to reconnecting with fans, teammates, and the incredible Blue Bomber Nation. Let us relish this opportunity together, embracing football, faith, poetry, and purpose.
Get your books. Bring them to the game. Get them signed.
